About the treatment
Clinical review of a breast change
Breast disease evaluation is a clinical assessment of lumps and other breast changes. It is a consultation, and any procedure comes only if it is indicated after the findings are understood.
- Lumps, pain, nipple change and skin change are discussed
- Both breasts and the armpits are examined
- Your history, medicines and any previous imaging are reviewed
What examination alone cannot exclude
Examination is important, but it does not by itself rule out cancer. A normal feel does not close the question when symptoms still need tests.
- A lump that feels benign still needs further tests when doubt remains
- Imaging or tissue sampling is arranged when the clinical picture requires it
- You are told plainly what the examination can and cannot show
Further breast tests when they are needed
Further tests are part of a careful assessment, not a sign that a diagnosis has already been made. Results are then used to guide the next step.
- Imaging is requested when it would clarify a lump or another change
- Biopsy is discussed when a tissue diagnosis is needed
- A plan is made only after the relevant results are available
At Estecenter in Şişli, Istanbul, breast findings are explained and further tests are arranged when they are needed.
