Why the difference is this large
It is not the surgery that is cheaper
Instruments, implants, sapphire blades and Choi tips cost roughly the same here as anywhere; they are bought in the same markets. What differs is everything around them — theatre time, staffing, premises and insurance — and in Istanbul those are a fraction of what they cost in London, Zurich or New York.
Volume
A surgeon performing hair transplants four days a week has a cost per case that a surgeon doing two a month cannot match. That volume is also why technique here has moved quickly: more cases means more refinement.
The exchange rate
Part of the gap is currency and will not stay fixed. Prices on this site are quoted in euros for that reason, and are reviewed monthly.
What should make you suspicious
A package well below the ranges here is usually one of three things: a technician rather than a surgeon performing the extraction, a graft count that will be revised upwards on the day, or hotel and transfers quietly removed. Ask who performs each stage, ask for the graft count in writing, and ask what happens if the surgeon decides on the day that you need more.
