Anagen phase
The growing phase of the hair cycle.
The active growth phase of a follicle, lasting two to seven years. At any moment around 85 per cent of scalp hair is in anagen. Pattern hair loss shortens this phase with each cycle, which is why affected hairs get progressively shorter and finer before they stop appearing at all.
