The timeline
Days are counted from the procedure. Where a range is normal, the earlier end is shown — ask your surgeon before taking it as the date.

Surgery day
Shape and airway are corrected in one operation, usually three hours, with one hospital night.

Day 1 · Check-up
Discharge
Internal splints keep the septum straight. Breathing through the nose will be blocked for several days.

Day 4 · Check-up
Internal splints removed
Removing the silicone splints takes seconds and immediately improves airflow.

Day 7 · Check-up
External splint removal
The cast comes off and the bridge is seen for the first time.

Day 9 · Travel
Safe to fly home
Travel once the surgeon has confirmed the airway is clear.

Back to desk work
Bruising has faded enough for most workplaces.

The external result is settled.
Recovery varies between people. Smoking, diabetes, how big the case was and how carefully the aftercare is followed all move these dates, usually later rather than earlier.
How long to stay in Istanbul
The package allows 7 nights, which covers the procedure, the checks and the final review before you fly. Staying one extra day is the cheapest insurance against a flight that gets moved.
