Septum
The wall of cartilage and bone dividing the two nostrils.
The partition running down the middle of the nose. When it is bent — a deviated septum — airflow through one or both sides is restricted. Straightening it is a septoplasty; doing that at the same time as reshaping the outside is a septorhinoplasty.
