Ludwig scale

The three-stage classification of female pattern hair loss.

A three-stage scale describing diffuse thinning along the central parting, which is how pattern loss usually presents in women. Unlike the Norwood scale it does not describe a receding hairline, because the frontal line is typically preserved.
