Tumescent anaesthesia
Dilute local anaesthetic infiltrated into fat before liposuction.
A large volume of very dilute local anaesthetic with adrenaline, injected into the area before liposuction. It numbs the tissue, constricts small vessels to limit bleeding, and makes the fat easier to remove evenly.
