HIFU vs Ultherapy
Both use ultrasound. Only one of them lets the doctor see where it goes
Both deliver focused ultrasound energy below the skin to trigger collagen production and tighten tissue. The clinical difference is that Ultherapy includes real-time imaging, so the operator can see the layer being treated before the energy is delivered.

Which one should you choose?
Ultherapy is the better choice when precision matters: a thin face, a treated area close to bone, or anyone who has had filler placed and wants the energy kept away from it. Seeing the layer is not a marketing feature; it is what prevents energy being delivered into the wrong plane.
HIFU delivers a genuine result at roughly half the price and is a sensible choice for a first treatment or for maintenance between Ultherapy sessions.
Neither replaces a facelift. Both work on laxity that is mild to moderate; beyond that they disappoint.
Ultrasonido focalizado (HIFU)
700 € – 1.400 €
Preguntas frecuentes
- Will either of them replace a facelift?
- No. Energy devices tighten existing tissue by a modest amount. Once there is skin that needs to be removed rather than tightened, surgery is the only honest answer.
- How many sessions do I need?
- One, for both. They are repeated annually rather than in a course, which is the opposite of how lasers are used.
