Hybrid-Haartransplantation recovery, day by day
What happens after Hybrid-Haartransplantation, from the procedure itself to the day the result is final. Everything here is what we tell our own patients, in the order they need to hear it.

The timeline
Days are counted from the procedure. Where a range is normal, the earlier end is shown — ask your surgeon before taking it as the date.
-
Day 0 · Procedure
Procedure day
A combined session: DHI at the hairline, Sapphire FUE behind it. Expect eight to ten hours, sometimes split across two days.
-
Day 1 · Check-up
First wash at the clinic
Dressing removed and the first wash performed by a nurse.
-
Day 3 · Travel
Safe to fly home
Larger sessions are given an extra day before travel.
-
Day 4 · Daily care
Daily washing begins
Lotion then shampoo, once daily, for ten days.
-
Day 8 · Work
Back to desk work
Large sessions stay red a little longer than small ones.
-
Day 12 · Daily care
Crusts have cleared
Scabs have washed off both the recipient and donor areas.
-
Day 16 · Exercise
Light exercise
Light cardio only; no lifting.
-
Day 25 · Daily care
Shock loss
Shedding is often more noticeable after a large session, and equally temporary.
-
Day 35 · Exercise
Full training
All exercise can resume.
-
Day 100 · Result
First new growth
New hairs emerge, usually starting at the hairline.
-
Day 210 · Result
Around half the final density
A large session matures slightly more slowly than a small one.
-
Day 395 · Result
Final result
Full density across both treated zones.
Recovery varies between people. Smoking, diabetes, how big the case was and how carefully the aftercare is followed all move these dates, usually later rather than earlier.
How long to stay in Istanbul
The package allows 4 nights, which covers the procedure, the checks and the final review before you fly. Staying one extra day is the cheapest insurance against a flight that gets moved.
