Osteotomy
A controlled cut in bone, used in rhinoplasty to narrow the bridge.
A precise, controlled fracture of the nasal bones, made so the bridge can be narrowed or a deviation straightened. It is the part of rhinoplasty responsible for most of the bruising around the eyes, which is why cases with osteotomies bruise more than tip-only surgery.
